Ok, so at my eye check today, it has become quite apparent that it is time for me to get glasses. Which is a bit of a bummer having never having glasses before.
I am having a little trouble seeing things far away, so might not effect my photography too much, but I want to ask anyway.
What do people do who wear glasses? Do you shoot while wearing glasses all day, or are contacts just the way to go?
Any input is appreciated.. I want to see, but don't know how glasses will effect my day running around a wedding, and also don't have a huge interest in sticking foreign objects onto my eyeball.
Thanks

Hi Eric,
I've worn glasses since I was eight. Contacts aren't really an option for me because my astigmatism is so bad. I haven't had any problems shooting with my glasses, and I just press the eyepiece up against the glass. My lack of problems though may be simply because I'm so used to wearing them for a million years.
You might want to try shooting while wearing a pair of sunglasses, just to see if the ergonomocs and comfort are to your liking.

Like David, I've worn glasses since childhood and have never had a problem. I'm pretty nearsighted now, but when I was younger I could take off my glasses to shoot, without issues.
I wear contacts these days mostly because of comfort, because I hate getting smudges on my glasses, and because I feel I can see a little better than usual (I have a slight astigmatism, and the torics really seem to help).
Definitely try David's suggestion of sunglasses, or see if you can find frames with plain plastic lenses.
