I have a bride that would like me to set up a backdrop for portaits of her guests, while the second photographer does candids at the reception. Never been asked this before. Should it just be included, or should I charge? Thanks for you input. Jas

We often do portraits of guests at weddings and events, but w/o a backdrop. It allows us to find a beautiful spot and take a unique portrait that doesn't look like Sears or Walmart. If you are going to setup a background and bring in another shooter for this purpose, in my opinion, I think you have to charge for it.
Jas, I think you also have to ask yourself, "Are they asking for a backdrop because it's all they know and simply don't realize how beautiful an environmental portrait can be?"
