I was reading another forum this morning and I saw this. I laughed out loud when I read it, especially the "late 2000s" line, so I thought I'd share it. It's from Matt Radlinski (http://www.k-gallery.com/) I saw the evolution as:Pre-1970s: Record keeping. "This is what the couple and their family looked like on the wedding day."
70s and 80s: Romanticism. "This is an image of the bride made as perfect as she can be."
90s: Realism (photojournalism). "This is what actually happened on the wedding day"
Early 2000s: Surrealism (digital enhancement). "This is what the wedding day felt like."
Late 2000s: Fantasy (Trash the Dress). "This is what the wedding would look like if it took place in a lake, or outer space, or if the people caught on fire."
What's next? That's for you to decide.
