FYI Per www.nbc15.com/home/headlines/93286619.htmlWe received a note from the victim in this case, photographer Eric Baillies. As we reported on May 10th, a robber broke into his studio, stealing all of his gear. Now, a fundraiser is set for Baillies. Here are the details, along with a note from Baillies: Date: Tuesday, June 29, 2010 6:00pm: Silent Auction & raffle 8:00pm: Live music by dumate’, Rob Dz and the Taalbi Brothers Location: Plan B, 924 Williamson Street Dear friends, family and colleagues: After the Madison Gallery walk on May 7th, 2010, nearly all the equipment I own as a professional photographer was stolen during a break-and-entry at my space at Winnebago Studios. However, our supportive local community has risen up and organized a benefit to help get me back to work. The event will take place on Tuesday, June 29th at Plan B (924 Williamson Street) and feature local hip hop powerhouses dumate’, Rob Dz and the Taalbi Brothers. I’m contacting you with the hope that you or business will be able to participate, even if in a small way. In addition to the music, I will have some of my best photos for sale, a silent auction, a cash bar and a good time to be had by all. Every nickel donated and minute spent helps forward the cause and all monies raised will be spent on replacing the stolen equipment. I would sincerely appreciate it if you or someone you know could lend a hand. Please contact Jamie Land at (906) 236-3646 or jamielanddesign@yahoo.com to see how you can help.
